Culinary Matcha Organic Green Tea is finely ground green Japanese tea that makes a wonderfully enthusiastic mix. This is a unique stoned ground, powdered tea is make from young, gyokuro leaves. Matcha tea is used in Japanese tea ceremonies. This is an interesting tea as it is finely ground and preparation is a bit different.
You will want to put about 2 grams – roughly 1 teaspoon – of Matcha in a bowl and then add about 2.5 ounces of water heated to 160 to 170 degrees, then whisk until you get a nice frothy top. Some preparation instructions suggest making a paste out of the tea, then add the balance of the hot water.
