We live in a small world where products and people move around the globe in hours as opposed to days or even weeks as our fore bearers did a century ago.
Because we can move products around the world quickly the world of tea has been opened up to us as well. Black tea can last for years when prepared correctly. In fact tea doesn’t really “go bad” – if kept in a proper container in a cool place out of the light – but like a spice, if sitting in a cupboard for long enough it will loose it’s freshness that we all crave. That freshness is what make a great tea a great tasting experience to enjoy at home alone or with friends.
